This is a Jahra Burl bowl 7" accross and 2" high. This wood was purchased from a second group buy of the CAW woodturning club. This bowl blank was cut round with cut and flat top and bottom. Tere was no natural edges to the blank to preserve. The wood is very very hard that cuts slowly requiering many shapenings of the tools I use when making a bowl. The wood sands to a very fine grit giving a polished surface. The finish for this bowl is a single coat of Zars wipe on poly. This is a very watery finish which leaves a very thin coating of finish.
